Paris Trip--Day Seven

On our last day, we visited the Louvre, ate lunch at a crèperie, then visited Les Invalides to see Napoleon's tomb.

One last Parisian hot chocolate...

Paris Trip--Day Six

Versailles.  Directly off the train, we walked about 30 minutes to see the new France temple that is almost completed.  Then 30 minutes to the front doors of the Versailles Palace.

Paris Trip--Day Five

Almost everyday we were in Paris, we made dinner in our kitchen.  It really came in handy and saved us some money.  And who doesn't love to watch dishes while traveling...
Laura and Alyssa eating breakfast:  Baguettes or Madelines.  Strawberries, yogurt.  Eggs, toast.  Standard french breakfasts for us.
Then we visited the Catacombs which were literally minutes from our apartment:

Shopping and walking around downtown took up most of the afternoon:
After dinner, we went back downtown to see all the lights.  In front of the Opera Garnier:

 Pont Alexander III

Paris Trip--Day Four

Day Four we traveled to Reims, France for a day trip.  Steve served part of his mission there years ago.  Here are the girls on the hour-long train ride out of the city:
Then we rented a car and drove the rest of the way:

 Through small towns:
 Past vineyards:
Here is Steve in downtown Reims:

The cathedral in Reims is twice as tall as Notre Dame in Paris.  We were able to take a fantastic tour of the roof.

Joan of Arc once visited this cathedral!  And also Laura Fletcher.  :)
